JC Hurtado-Prater, DBA

JC Hurtado-Prater is the Founder and Principal of Montara Leadership Partners, where he works with leadership teams to improve alignment, decision making, and execution across the organization. His work focuses on helping executive teams operate with greater clarity, move faster on critical decisions, and translate strategy into consistent performance.

He has over two decades of experience advising and developing leaders across complex organizations, including work with Cisco, Visa, Johnson & Johnson, the Centers for Disease Control, the U.S. Navy, Park Hyatt, Greenprint Capital and more. His approach centers on identifying where alignment breaks down and helping leadership teams restore focus, accountability, and execution discipline.

In addition to his advisory work, JC serves as Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Leadership and Management at the Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University, where he leads external partnerships and teaches leadership and management.
